The object of fasting is purity of heart and self-purification. Fasting is the only physical benefit of fasting. The core and focus of Ramadan is the light of the heart. The first step to heaven must be from the heart.

Fasting during Ramadan is a health care endeavor. Fasting is not only a cure for grief, abdominal ailments, and heart problems, but also ancestral physicians who have suggested that fasting should be the only way to fast.
