The guest workers died when the train hit. The incident occurred in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. 15 guest workers died.

The dead included children. The freight train was landing on top of the workers who were lying on the rail track. The accident took place between the police station of Karmad, Aurangabad and Jalna.

They were lying on the track, thinking there was no train traffic. They were unaware of the freight trains being served.
